Pipe Fittings Antitrust Case

Tostrud Law Group and co-counsel have recently filed an antitrust class action complaint on behalf of the city of Fargo, North Dakota.  This case seeks to recover injunctive relief under the Clayton Act and to recover damages under state antitrust and unfair competition laws, and common law principles of unjust enrichment.

The case arises out of a conspiracy among three of the largest suppliers of ductile iron pipe fittings to raise and fix prices throughout the United States.  Ductile iron pipe fittings are a component of pipeline systems that transport drinking water and waste water under pressurized conditions in municipal distribution systems and treatment plants, and are an essential part of our nation’s water infrastructure.
